The Nutcracker King Dildo: A Short Yuletide by Dale M. Chatwin

The Nutcracker King Dildo is the first installment in the Yuletide Horror Anthology.

When Louis Thwaite discovers an aged Nutcracker King doll in his local antique shop, he sees it as a potential centrepiece for his annual Christmas sex party. What ensues is a night of debauchery that Louis sees as the perfect opening party to the festive season. When his partner Matilda Oswald discovers the Nutcracker King doll in the aftermath of the kinky soiree, she soon becomes transfixed by the energy behind its deadpan eyes. Little does she know that beneath those wooden windows lurks an ancient soul that has been locked away for many an aeon, and Christmas will never be the same again.

The Nutcracker King Dildo is a short story that showcases the author's twisted sense of humour. Dale M. Chatwin brings you a story that will either tantalize your wicked sense of humour, or make you delete it from you kindle in sheer disgust.

So, this is Christmas, is it? Well, then, what better time to unwrap a few nasty, rotten gift of blasphemous holiday joy! Yeah, it's gonna be dark, and weird, and quite possibly grossly offensive, but WTF . . . right?

Let's be honest - we've all snickered at the name Nutcracker, and we've all entertained at least one idle thought of how its wholesome purpose could be perverted. You may not have gone so far as to imagine The Nutcracker King Dildo, but Dale M. Chatwin certainly has.

Long ago, Nutcrackers were fully animated people, with their hearts and souls wrapped in a hard varnished wooden shell. All was happy and bright until the war of the rats, which saw the Nutcrackers defeated, and the Nutcracker King banished to Earth, frozen in a state of permanent rigor mortis. And thus our story opens, with the exiled King reduced to life as an ornament, moving from nursing home to suburban lawn, only to be stolen as a fox's chew toy. There is some genuine horror in that introduction, along with some very dark humor, generating sympathy in the reader even before the real story begins.

As for that, the story really kicks in when Louis, owner of a sex toy shop, spots the Nutcracker in an antique store and decides it would make a great centerpiece for his annual kinky Christmas party. Before the Nutcracker King can become The Nutcracker King Dildo, however, he must be subjected to further abuse as his crown is trimmed, his face smoothed, and his body polished to provide a better ride. The horror of the King alone is utterly fascinating, and the way in which he observes this tawdry night of pleasure between some admittedly disgusting, low rent freaks is darkly erotic for the reader, but truly excruciating for him.

Were this just a story of a sentient dildo and a kinky Christmas party, that would have been fun, but making it a story of revenge is what makes it truly memorable. The King may be trapped in that hard, wooden shell, but that doesn't mean he's powerless - as Louis' wife soon discovers. Without ruining the surprises, the story quickly descends into even darker depths of depravity, driven by a magical mind control that sees roles reversed, trapping a horrified wife inside an oversexed body of flesh she can't control, and making her husband an unwitting subject of the King.

Oh, yes, there is some nutracking to be enjoyed, but it is more a final treat than the main course.
